A couple of comments;
* Don't get hung up on AT tires. Highway rated tires are typically the best for hauling heavy (plys/sidewalls/temp duty). A hwy snow flake rated tire (DG!) may be the best option for New England. AT tires tend to be more compliant and not as stiff (plys/sidewall) as Hwy rated tires.
* Get yourself a set of 1 ton GM OE steelies and some chrome covers. Inexpensive and likely the strongest 16" wheel you will find for a GM.
