make sure you hook the battery up correctly, hooking it up backwards blows all kinds of fuses that all the major camping stores will be out of but the local auto parts store has. lesson learned double check battery before reconnecting and carry extra fuses.
Don't unscrew the water heater drain plug with city water running just to see if the tank is filling post de winterizing. the plug will become a dangerous flying object and the campsite will flood.
Don't play amateur chemist in your black tank, you might just get some interesting clouds of smoke in the middle of the night at a storage lot a ways from home. then need to go home, fill every bucket and trash can you can fit in the SUV with water, carefully drive it the half hour back to the TT, flush the black tank with more water and have to leave it sit until next day because there is no dump station in a storage facility. You will be awake at home in a panic all night wondering if you managed to blow up your trailer.
Highly recommend the Walkie talkies but if the batteries are dead because someone forgot to charge them, cell phones will work in a pinch. Also for backing in use passenger side, drivers side instead of left, right. it will save your marriage unless one of you happens to be in brain fry mode from a long day and can't decipher passenger side/drivers side (to be fair, I don't think I would have processed left and right that day either).
