Two weeks ago I drove a 2016 F150 Lariat with the Technology Package that had that feature. Neat to have, but I really don't see the point. Its extremely helpful to have the camera there to help the driver put the ball right under the hitch (I use the camera to do it all the time with my "old" 2011 Lariat), but why would anyone need to have to control the steering with that little round knob? If you can't turn the steering wheel, you shouldn't be behind the wheel.
It requires some type of device be attached to the trailer hitch to make this work, not sure exactly what that was. Maybe just a couple of stickers with special lines or something.
No, I won't be buying that 2016 Lariat. $58,800 is a little ridiculous for a 1/2 ton pickup. And there are two trim lines above that Lariat.
