The problem is not new technology, or a technological solution to a problem.
It's nice technology, provided that you realize that the feature is part of a package that costs $895, but does not include the backup camera, which is an additional $250, for a grand total of $1145 extra.
Which is fine if you want to pay for that feature, I'd rather learn to park the thing and save $1145.
Not only that, but you can't order it with the heavy duty payload package, or the Max Trailer Tow package, which makes absolutely no sense.
It's obviously intended to get people who do not normally trailer regularly to part with their money, which is fine, as long as people understand that other than the camera, which is $250, they eventually won't use it as they practice, so they will be out $895.
Perfect marketing gimmick to get the noobs to part with their money.
And before labeling me as some sort of Anti-Ford basher, I've done the research on the Build your own website, and I'm shopping for Fords at the moment. But I am a cheap not-so-old guy.
