I have been running the Reese DC on my 35ft, 9200lb loaded TT since 06. When properly setup it is a great sway control hitch!
A HA is nice, but not necessary. But even with that If you could find one affordable enough I would jump on it! Even I still keep an eye out for a cheap one just to say I have one.
