3. Someone mentioned the need for other tranny mods. Would this include an aftermarket torque converter? Who would install that and roughly the price?
The programming and valve body modifications raised internal hydraulic pressures, raised upshift point rpm's, sooner downshift points, and increased engine/transmission braking effect when coasting.
It was a completely different operating transmission after he was done with it. I was quite pleased, or as pleased as I could be with an automatic.
Cost was $2500, done by a local tranny rebuilder with alot of experience in the C6/E4OD/4R100 trannys.
