With any 7.3 PS, you'll get the E4OD or 4R100 trans 4 speed.. Or, if you can find one, a manual ZF 5 speed, which is a very strong manual trans and about the only one you want in that era..
The ZF 6 speed manual and 4R100 4 speed auto were used with the 7.3 Powerstroke from '99-'02.
