I know I will get beat up but I am not a Ford basher. But common sense should prevail. Of course there are some folks who may not have had a problem with this motor but overall the reputation of this motor is trash. Of course you could "bulletproof" one but why would you??? Why try too fix MAJOR issues and spend 5 to 7 THOUSAND dollars with no guarantee? The Ford 6.0 and to a lesser extent the 6.4 Diesels were litigated out of production! You could get a Ford V10 and get a great motor. Buy a used Dodge or GM Diesel and get something that has a WAY BETTER REPUTATION. ITS YOUR MONEY! I certainly wish you the best on your decision.
