Oh. That's very different then...lots of folks will tell you to avoid at all costs. I would say only consider if you are willing to do a few things, such as do some research so that you understand the problems with this engine. Once you do that, check out the history of any unit you're considering. Find out what, if any, work has been done on it. If you get a good price, invest in a monitor so you can see what's going on in your engine in real time. Remember your research? Here's where you monitor the numbers. If you start getting numbers that are problematic, be prepared to "bullet proof"it, which is using after market parts which have been designed to address the poorly designed oem equipment. That's where a good deal on the purchase price pays off. If you do all that, you'll have a reliable truck that pulls like a beast and gets fairly decent mileage. Or you might get one that is reliable without having to do the mods. Lots of these engines on both sides of that equation. Now you can see why a lot of guys won't touch them. I've had two that, so far, have not caused me any problems.
