Ford Explorer Ecoboost

Had the Ford Explorer Sport 3.5 Ecoboost for a rental vehicle this week. Holy carp is that motor awesome. I'm not a big fan of the current generation Explorer but that engine is a game changer like many have said. The low end torque and higher end horsepower makes it so fun to drive. I can see how it would be great for towing.

    It's a totally different turbo setup vs the F150. A fair bit less torgue as a result.

    I know, they are great. They are on my short list for a small trailer tow vehicle.

    We test drove a Explorer Sport 2 years ago and was very impressed with the performance.
