Might be that the F350 DRW and F450 are produced at the same plant, and that plant got a shipment of bad parts. Just a thought.
F-350 and F-450 are produced in the same plant. And the F-250 is produced there, too. - rhagfoExplorer III

^^^ Fixed the signature. I never thought much about the number of trucks till you pointed it out. 1800 is not very many trucks. The other thing is that mine is a F350 SRW which is basically a 2500 series truck. The recall is for some F350s and F450s ..... more than likely the trucks affected are duallies.
if youes is a f350 then it is equivalant to a 3500 series, not a 2500 and is possible that your truck is one, but you wont know till you get a letter.
Steve
I realize that mine is technically a F350... so 3500 series. My point is that a f350 SRW diesel is almost identical to a f250 diesel. The fact that f450s and not f250s are identified in the recall leads me to guess that the dually trucks are the ones to be recalled. However, it is like you said, my truck may be one of the affected.

I wonder if the F250's come from the factory with the undermount 5th wheel hitch, if not that could be why they are not included.
Steve - The recall affects F350 and F450 with pickup box produced between November 12 2020 and December 4 2020.
Quantities:
F350 - 1,079
F450 - 717 - 4x4ordExplorer III

Not really. A cracked mounting bracket could be under bed or on hitch itself.4x4ord wrote:

Does anyone know the details of this recall? Is the problem with the under bed puck mount or the hitch?
