The window stickers don't list the fuel mileage. I'm considering a brand new 2017 to 2018 "Work Truck" Ford F-250 Super Duty with the V10 engine and auto trans. ( The work truck series costs a LOT less than the regular line. I can get one out the door from $37,377 and up. Retiring soon, won't make payments, paying cash, won't break my bank account. I won't spend $60-70 Grand for a truck when I'll only tow the trailer 2 or 3 hours a day.)I'm guessing it will probably deliver 9-10 MPG, and I'm guessing it won't make much difference between towing roughly 7,500 lbs. of no load at all. I have the monthly budget to afford all the gas I want but just wanted to know MPG. Thanks

V-10 isn't an option in the F250/350 line. Only the 6.2L V-8 & 6.7L diesel.

Hi... I would suggest a diesel over a gas engine for towing .... much better power ... lower fuel cost. Jim2007.

Oh wow, I meant V8 that's what I get for staying up after midnight and posting. I was referring to the 6.2 gas engine. Diesel would be nice, as well as a loaded out $65-70K truck, but I won't go in debt and make payments, I'd rather pay cash and be financially free. Thank you all for responding.

I had a 14 F 250 with the 6.2 with 3.73 rear gear 4x4 I got 10-12 in town my best hi way tank was 14 and towing was 6-8

I towed and daily drove a 6.4L Hemi gas engine in a Ram 2500 with a 4.10 rear.

It gave 7-9 mpg towing a 12k 5th wheel, the load was 21,000# combined, 14mpg or so commuting, and 18mpg or so straight hwy.

Unloaded, I get in the 13's like clockwork in my 2017 crew 4x4 lb.

I concur with Iraqvets mileage. Have had 2- 6.2 F250s. 4x4 ec lb. commuting was 12-13 with the little 245 size tires. Towing around 5klbs in the mountains was 8-9mpg.

I drove this 2016 F-250 6.2L about 200 miles at 85 mph and only got 12 mpg. The truck has about 20,000 miles on it.

At that speed it runs 200 rpm lower than my 2011 Chevy 2500 with a 6.0L and I get closer to 14.5 mpg.

Both trucks are regular cab 4-wd work trucks.

Towing this boat back at 70 mph I got 9 mpg.

i bought a 2017 f250 6.2 crewcab XL model. (we call them commercial trucks here) or work truck

vinyl seats, no carpet, easy to clean, electric windows and locks. im not a bells and whistles guy so i love it.

still have my 2000 f150 super cab that i drive daily.

my f250 XL was way cheaper than most f150 xlt's and above.

for me it was a no brainer because i tow a 7500 TT and it is a great match. my f150 was maxed out.

to each his own but i couldn't be happier with mine
