Ford in-dash Inclinometer/lean gauge

I find it good enough. We pull into a campsite and park by seat of the pants and then I go through the menu to the level indicator, If it reads 0 or 1 degree that is good enough and we are comfy in the bed, etc. If it read 2-3 degrees is some direction we try moving the truck a bit, or use leveling pads.

The reason stated in the manual is that it is intended for off road use only.

I would assume this is because if the rig is accelerating or decelerating, it will add this rate of added momentum to the reading. However, if a steady speed is maintained, it seems the gauge should be accurate. I have a bubble gauge in my cab and it works that way.

I use the level app on my droid phone. I set it flat on the consule in round bubble mode. This gets you close, closer if you know your rig is level to start with. If I want more perfection, I set it in bubble on the counter or dinett table. You can also turn it side ways and put it on top and side of the fridge. The phone is very accurate checked against my construction tools. I even use it to gauge the slope in a stair well when cutting trim or hand rail. Its the one tool a rarely manage to loose.

No it is not accurate. Get a pair of bubble RV gauges. Less than 10 bucks.
