Ford is raising their fuel capacities.
On the diesel trucks it's raising the fuel tank capacity to 48 gal and the DEF tank to 7.5 gal. Ford tank capacity improvements Bill

On the older trucks with dual tanks (like my '92 and '97 Fords, '78 Dodge and '77 and '82 GM's), they can carry about 40 gallons. When they went to one tank in the 2000's, the capacity went down to only 25-35 gallons.
Nice to see they're finally getting back to what the trucks could do, 20+ years ago!
