Ford is raising their fuel capacities.
On the diesel trucks it's raising the fuel tank capacity to 48 gal and the DEF tank to 7.5 gal. Ford tank capacity improvements Bill

nice increase, but it looks like the only configuration that gets the 48 gallon fuel tank is the long box crew cab.
When GM went to the 36 gallon tank on the crew cab short box, I often wondered why they didn't have a larger tank on the long box like they had done previously.
36 is nice, but 48 would be awsome for us, but I don't need or want a long box.
now the 7.5 gallon DEF tank, that's nice also.
