My old F-150 had dual tanks, I think it was 38 gallons total. I LOVED it, having the option of 38 gallons of fuel, but no requirement to fill both tanks if I don't want too.
We take multiple trips a year to a lake that we love. Getting there takes just over half a tank of fuel. That requires me to get some fuel at some point on the trip up or the trip back to ensure I have sufficient fuel for the trip.
I have a wife and 2 young children, so we can't drive much more than 4 hours without stopping anyways... but on trips to the lake it would be nice to have enough fuel to get there and back without refueling.
