Ford suspends F-150, Super Duty output

I have lived ten miles away from the Meridian plant for the last twenty years. These guys have smaller fires on a regular basis, making the local news once a year or so, although things had been quiet lately.

This one was a big one, burned a bunch of the roof off, and two workers sustained minor injuries. The sprinkler system was activated, and when the water hit the blazing magnesium it caused an explosion that was heard for miles.

The plant is located in an industrial park near an Amerigas propane terminal.
