My bolts on my BMC aren't above the grooves, but if that one is, I wouldn't get the fiver option either.
I was looking at your other options. I have a tailgate step in my tailgate. On the one hand, it's nice to get in the bed, but it does make a very heavy tailgate and a little more difficult to get the tailgate off/on. You might want to try lifting one off at the dealer before you go with it.
One more edit, I'd add the upfitter switches as well they are handy to add electrical accessories later, and I don't think they add much to the build cost but difficult to add after the build.
