The "C" clamp reference is a design cue in the Ford grille. It serves no function whatsoever. It is simply a styling evolution from the open "nostrils" that previous generation Ford Super Duty grills had. The nostrils were deleted, but their design DNA remains in these so called "C" clamps. Absolutely nothing to concern yourself with.
Satin treatment of the grille is a strong indication of top of the line Platinum packages. Note the differences in seating... where say a Lariat package might be heated, but a Platinum package might be heated and cooled, and include heating elements in the rear seating as well (cab dependent).
I'm not saying that these are the specific differences in these packages, or in the particular two trucks you are comparing, but I am suggesting that one really needs to look carefully at the full descriptions of the package equipment. In this hypothetical example, climate controlled seats are not the same between the high line and top of the line packages.
