Ford vs Ram vs Chevy diesels

Chris how about just use the same trailers like they said they were doing! The trailer they used on the Ford has a front cap that slopes back. The ones hooked to the Ram and GM are taller and flatter.

The higher and flatter the front the more wind resistance you will have and the slower you will be. Ford supplied the trucks and trailers so this is yet another example of how far Ford will will twist the truth.

There was a time that was a Ford F650 but that is history. Pretty decent truck though.

My guess is the Montana had a rear cap and the Crusaders were shown with flat rears, which creates more drag. Who knows if the different fronts helped or hurt!

Swap trailers between the RAM and Ford, and retest!

But then again, there was only a 15 second spread!!!!!!!!

That used to be the way to go and several have done just that even with new fords. But now the Aisin trans that mates perfectly to the Cummins is a far superior transmission to the Pickup application Allison.

True Medium duty engine and transmission in a HD pickup. RAM Cummins Aisin.
