- agesilausExplorer IIINot likely I had a GM before I got a Ford. That was before they became government motors

I have no idea what happened in Ricatic's case. But we are hearing only one side of the issue. I'm not saying that he is wrong but that we just don't know. I followed it as it was posted here. But I have not heard many others saying they had the same problem. There was a period when some people reported problems but since then I don't recall hearing any. Maybe Ford started dealing better with the issue.
Like most others here I haven't had any major problems, the truck just went over 50K about half of that was towing our 5ver.
clearly you have been brainwashed by the blue oval kool-aid. - powderman426Explorer

If your interested in finding out the story, just search his user name and posts and you can see for yourself. It's well documented what happened. - agesilausExplorer IIII have no idea what happened in Ricatic's case. But we are hearing only one side of the issue. I would highly recommend checking out the other two kids on the block as well. They have a much more proven track record.
Look on the Mobile Suites forum, three years ago there was mostly Fords now it's a mix of GM's and RAM's not many new Fords.
Agreed... I looked at the RAM back in '12 and decided to purchase a Super Duty. It's a great truck! :B- I have a '12 6.7 PSD Super Duty with 58k miles. The truck has been trouble free with no issues to date. The 6.7 PSD makes really good fuel economy and tows like a scalded dog.
In my opinion the biggest problem is the EGT sensor in the exhaust that can go bad and leave you stranded. - powderman426Explorer

It's a Bosch problem, all vehicles with a Bosch CP4.1 for an inline 4 or CP4.2 for a V-6 or V-8 engine, VW, Audi, Ford, Chevy, GMC, they all have failed catastrophically, grenading the whole fuel system, and everything that the fuel touches. Bosch failed to do failure analysis on this pump model. Quite convenient how much money they make in parts on a failure, it's obscene. Of course, Ford too, profits on this failed venture, huge mark up on all the fuel injection and fuel system parts ruined.
At 35000 miles I don't understand why it wouldn't be covered by Ford, regardless of whether Bosch was also at fault. This also isn't the first horror story I've heard about Ford warranties recently and it does give me pause.
As well it should. Until the buying public holds them accountable, they will continue on the current path. And for anyone who thinks Ricatic is just a basher, I remember his story and I very well remember that he was a solid supporter in the blue oval camp. Remember the next person to get hammered could be you. - IdaDExplorer

If I were you I would tell your story at every opportunity!
GM and Ford have the same Bosch pump but GM does take care of people under warranty.
