Forest River V Cross Travel Trailer

I bought a 2013 826VFK in July 2012 which is an 8' wide model. We like the front kitchen and the rear bedroom next to the bathroom. There is door between the living area and the bedroom that we leave closed and installed a shelved wardrobe on the bedroom side of that door for more storage and I built a bench for the living side of the door with bin storage under that. I would suggest using maintenance free AGM batteries as access through the outside door is difficult. I added a second battery accessing it through an inside panel. You'll need an Equl-i-zer brand weight distribution hitch or similar as there is no space above the A-frame rails to mount a chain lift mechanism; all must be below the frame. All-in-all we like it and it tows well with our Ram 1500 Hemi. Of course there are a few things were prefer were different but we are enjoying it anyway. Not a very big fresh water tank but we boondock with it successfully as we are just 2 water conserving adults.
