It was a hitch ball lock. I agree with someone who said the thief/thieves might have just used the chains to pull it away.
Gives me a sick feeling in the stomach to hear of this sort of thing. Last year someone stopped on our street for several minutes looking right at our TT (that's how it looked in the binoculars) and made us feel uneasy. Can't trust anyone these days. Our TT has a lock on the coupler but something additional may be a good idea.
Did they have a clear and easy route from where it was taken? It would be somewhat hard to make a quick getaway where ours is parked but I suppose if they want it bad enough...
That is why I have this sick feeling in my stomach ever since our TT was stolen. Yes, there is a clear and easy route out of the parking lot :-( When and if we get our TT back or we get a new one, we will NOT park it there anymore.
