Back in 2011 when I took delivery of my 1050S, the water heater worked fine when we loaded and left. The first time it shut off, it would not light back. I was thinking board too. It was the Piezo Electrode igniter. I tested by swapping one from my 5th wheel RV water heater and it all worked fine.
Sometimes, for the cost, you just need to do it yourself.
I purchased a new one for a few bucks and haven't had a problem since.
