As the owner of a new 2014 Wolf Creek 850 I'm wishing I had ordered it from the factory! I to am concerned about that big last step when parked on an incline! Still struggling with the choice between scissor steps and the Fox landing. Am actually considering seeing if it is possible to attach scissor steps to that last step or the opposite side....depending on the incline of course.
In talking to the dealer I worked with on the camper purchase (parts department not sales) they can order the bumper and Fox landing for the same price as sales could have gotten it with the original order. I have to deal with shipping and labor to install but guess that would insure warranty coverage, something I'm already having to deal with. I understand there is some small modification they do at the factory to the retrofit bumper before they send it out to the dealer. I need to talk to them to see if it HAS to be dealer installed or if they will let a handy enduser do the install. Will also be asking them about the weight for the bumper and the landing.
Anyone know if the mounts on the bumper for the fox landing take up internal space for the bumper? In other words could you store long objects such as fishing poles in there? Can you see all the way thru to access on the opposite side?
I've been actively using my camper without any step or bumper since getting it a month ago and am getting real tired of the "climb"!!!
