Many things are safe if used properly. Yet, one simple error can change it from safe to deadly. Providing warnings and being more conservative in advice to a young person who may not be experienced enough to know herself is being safe.
Having had six kids go through the "know it all years" I am very aware of how they respond sometimes to advice from there elders.I was the same way..
My personal opinion is she has know heater in the camper and needs one to live full time in it..The Wave heater is by far the best and least expensive choice...
Second choice would be the direct vent ductless heaters which would have to be installed by a service tech as would the Wave heater but these ductless heaters need a power line to the battery and cost double or triple what the Wave heater does and do not work without the blower(12 volt)..
I don't know if they still make the old Suburban forced air heaters anymore that came in older units but they do not require a 12 volt line, but if they did or do,they also would be in the $400+ category and would have to be installed with modifications to the camper if one was never in that unit before.
Tough decisions for an 18 year old going for full time living in a truck camper in Idaho but keeping warm and safe seems to be the first and most important step...
My biggest concern would be the currant LP propane system..Is it leak free?????Atleast have it checked before spending days and nights in it...Deal with a heat as she see's fit but she would know that there are know LP leaks and feel much safer, as it is now.
