She's stayed in the camper off and on for the past couple of months, in front of our house or at friends' houses or occasionally out in the desert west of town (she had a great view of the lunar eclipse). The cold has driven her indoors more than once, or kept her indoors.
But she recently signed a delayed enlistment contract for the Marines. I suspect she'll spend more time in her truck camper as it warms up, but the whole thing will become moot in a few weeks.
Sounds like she got to enjoy a bit of freedom without having to deal with trying to full-time it in winter. Smart choice.
When my son enlisted - he was send from California - somewhere to Michigan (he could not tell us the location and was allowed 1 call per week) in the mid of the winter.
Took him 3 days to catch pneumonia, but that was not excuse to take break from training.
When I think such training is good for young people, sometimes things go to extreme.
