The flat fabric hoses seem to be OK - we use the same type/size - likely the same manufacturer - made for forest fire use all the time - they get pretty beat up but take it - same end fittings, too. But do not clean them with bleach if they get really, really, dirty. I had one last a couple years until I decided to clean it. Why would I do that?! :S
