Only "difficult" if your trailer has an enclosed underbelly, otherwise it takes but minutes. This is my fresh water tank as the trailer was built ...

... I moved the pump's intake hose down to what originally was the drain port on the bottom of the tank so the pump has no difficulty at all drawing all water from the tank.
