Fresh water tank size

We are looking to downgrade from a fifth wheel to a travel trailer and would like to find a travel trailer with a large fresh water tank. It seems like most have around a 40 gallon fresh water tank; does anyone know or any brands that have larger fresh water tanks? I know our fifth wheel has spoiled us but it's necessary for us to downsize as we've gotten older.

Thanks for your impute.

  • Look at Jayco; picked up my new 28 BHBE yesterday, and has 86 gal tank including the 6 in hot water tank.
  • Outdoors RV has more than 40 in all of their models I have looked at. Ours has a 56 and the newer ones are larger.
  • Jayco Jay Flight has 90 gallon tanks on their TT's. Was looking at them today. Some floor plans say 85, some up to 90.
  • That is going to vary not only by manufacturer, but by model as well. I'd recommend just looking at the spec sheets online for floorplans and brands that you like.

Our last TT, a Jayco Jay Flight 24RKS had a 60 gallon FW tank. Our new Grey Wolf 26BH has a 50 gal tank.
  • It seems, unless you go toy hauler you're going to be looking at 40 gallon or less. Of course, there's always the option of putting in a bigger or 2nd tank.
