Fridge Fins "Sweating"

Hi All, I have a Dometic fridge and we are currently plugged into shore power at home packing up for a trip . The fins within the last hour or two are really starting to sweat and drop water below onto the trays and ledges. Now it is humid today so maybe this is the culprit? I just don't recall ever seeing the fridge like this before . Any suggestions? Thank you .
  • I did add internal fridge fans to mine, that helped and keeps it cooler. Made my own for 10 bucks complete.

Looking forward to the thermo-siphon unit to expire so I can get a Secop compressor fridge. Much less hassle all around.
  • Humid air getting into the fridge is condensing on the fins. Opening and closing the door acts as a bellows sicking cold air out which is being replaced by warmer humid air in the trailer which condenses on the cold cooling find.
  • Check door seals
Check that drain hose has check valve in end of hose
    Check for cracked drain hose
And check that the condensate is drain out
  • Don't worry about it, Perfectly normal, why you have a drain tray and hose to the outside.

Cold surfaces condense moisture...that’s the reason you have a tray and drain under them. Sounds like you’ve had the door open a lot.
  • Humidity, leaking seal around door or going through a defrost cycle.
