Chuck, you won't need a fridge till next spring, as I was talking to a friend in Nenana today and was told there had been frost for the last couple of mornings. Just wait till next summer. LOL
You can just replace the cooling unit on the back, may not even be necessary to remove the unit from the TC. Just get it out and lay it on the floor, with the back up and replace. You shouldn't have any problems doing the work yourself. There is a company that sells replacement units referred to as "Amish replacement units" that others have mentioned as being satisfied with after installing. Any of the larger RV parts shops should have replacement units for sale also. If your box is still good, I would just replace the cooling unit but if the box is rusty and not looking good, I would replace the unit. I had to replace one of mine in Fairbanks when we were living there. It turned out to be a nightmare as we had to remove the old one out the dinette window, after removing the glass and the new one went in the same way.
