Fridge not getting cold.

My fridge in the trailer is just a small home unit. The little freezer upper part is like 20* but the lower is around 50*. Do you think it's not cooling off because it's in the hot trailer?
  • The first answer is yes, RV fridges don’t operate well in extreme heat. The long answer is there could be variables on thermistor, heating element, control panel etc that could go bad. I’m dealing with the same thing in Texas.
  • I went thru the whole frig not cooling and I know what my issue was. I covered my fifth wheel and forgot the frig was still on. Anyway, yes your frig may not be as cool in very hot temps but regardless it shouldn’t be at 50. Something isn’t working right, get it checked out.
