Froli mattress system

Today I ordered the Froli Zona mattress spring/anti-condensation air circulation setup.
It’s made somewhere in Costa Lotta...
I’ll give the rundown on how well it works and how comfortable it is when it gets here, but until then, has anyone else tried it? How is it?

Northern Lite has been supplying new campers with the Hypervent mattress pad, but everyone says that doesn’t work and is a waste of money.

The deal is apparently fiberglass campers are more prone to condensation under the mattress in cold damp weather... like the beautiful, wonderful Pacific Northwest (where all the rock stars write all the depressing grunge songs then kill themselves).

The Froli is supposed to be The Answer, and super comfy to boot.
Is it?
  • While it is expensive, it does do what they say. Assembled from a bunch of snap together pieces, so you can make it fit pretty much anything. It keeps the mattress elevated about an inch, leaving much more air circulation than something like hypervent. It adds a slight box spring effect to the feel of the mattress, making it softer. More comfortable is subjective, but I think so. I've have the system on the boat for 10 years and not regretted it. It stopped the condensation we were getting there and made sleeping a dream :).

One downside beyond the cost: the design of the plastic pieces tends to catch on sheets etc when you tuck them in, a slight annoyance when you go to pull everything out for washing day. Just something to watch for.
  • We have a queen Frohli in our Igloo and love it. Super comfy and no moisture issues. Highly recommended.
  • I looked at it, but $400 price tag for the queen size scared me away. Did you find better pricing?
  • Wow, heheh, my head would be spinning all night long just trying to figure how it all works...

... and it'll fit in a TC?? Bed space?..
(Funny comment on the PNW Rock Stars... luv it)...
