Front Caps on Travel Trailers
Many of the newer travel trailers have a fiberglass front cap similar to 5th Wheels. It looks nice but I'm curious if there are benefits to it. Protection? Additional Insulation?

I think mostly cosmetic, as most front caps do not have a lot of insulation. I do think that the newer front caps are a little more streamlined, which has to help. My FW has something of a bullet shaped nose cap, that seems to help with MPG, comparing to previous one that was lighter, but more square.
