Front Caps on Travel Trailers
Many of the newer travel trailers have a fiberglass front cap similar to 5th Wheels. It looks nice but I'm curious if there are benefits to it. Protection? Additional Insulation?

By far less wind resistance than a box shaped front end which improves fuel consumption and towing stability. I've seen one with the cap removed and there is no less insulation than in a box constructed front end. I'm sure it's all about aero-dynamics and styling.
