- jmckelvyExplorerCheck out the EMF ball joints. From what I have read they appear to be as good as the Carli joints. They are just a little cheaper than Carlis but are rebuildable in the truck which the Carlis are not.
I recently put the EMFs in my truck. They are really nice units. My truck had 227000 miles (original OEM ball joints) including two trips to Alaska and lots of backroads. I changed the joints as PM but it turns out the "weak" OEM joints were fine. - Cummins12V98Explorer IIISome have a PRO series. They will be US Made and of high quality.

- theoldwizard1Explorer IIMy E150 is on its 3rd or 4th set of ball joints. The last 2 have been Moog. They did last a bit longer. On a 20 year old truck, the rest of it is really starting to show its age.
- theoldwizard1Explorer IIMoog "Problem Solvers", in some cases, are actually oversized and feature replaceable piece where the OEM was only one piece.

Hmmm... I refitted Moog on my '97 350 and I keep them greased and have no issue in around 12 years now. I do run Super U's on the driveline. Don't run Bilsteins either. I run Skyjacker Monotube. I'm 6 over stock btw.
Guess my perception of toys and yours differ. I use my truck hard and have never had a suspension or driveline issue to date.
I am certain that our perception of things differ in absolutely everything.

I have a Ford superduty, did not know about two different lines of Moog. Truck is a 2WD 5.4 so not a lot of weight. The cost of labor is incentive to buy good quality parts.
Moog now has a "Value" line that competes on price with the corner store Chinese junk. The original Moog is still very high quality, you just have to be sure you are getting the original and not the value line. IIRC, the good stuff has a K as the first letter of the part number, the value line starts with a C.
I have also had good experience with Raybestos Professional suspension components. Suggest going to Rock Auto and looking at the complete list of what fits your vehicle.
ScottG Carli only makes ball joints for Fords and Ram trucks, not sure what OP has. - garyp4951Explorer IIIMoog Problem solver are used by many alignment shops. I used AAM on my 03 Ram, since the originals had 223,000 miles, and doing just fine.
