- fla-gypsyExplorerI had a TT with the front kitchen. Very heavy tongue weight but lots of counter space. I prefer a mid kitchen with the extra weight over the axles.
- wannavolunteerFExplorerI would think a front kitchen would be a nice setup. I have a rear kitchen and love having the kitchen at the end. more counterspace than most middle kitchens and lots of storage. I like the fact that the kitchen doesn't get traveled through between living, bathroom and bedroom. As other said, you will have to consider tongue weight, but I have to do the same in reverse. (add tongue weight to offset heavier rear)
- bobndotExplorer IIWe had a FK model for 6 yrs. As others have said, nice counters and front window.
It towed fine, felt no different than any other TT we towed. Its all about balancing the load, pay attention how you pack it.
When our TT was used at a seasonal site (more like a home) , the front kitchen was nice because my DW was always baking for hours at a time. Having room to pivot between the kitchen counter top and the dinette table for extra counter space was nice.
She was in her own space away from me and the dogs, not being bothered by us. We are still married, so i guess the floorplan worked. The dogs, well, they moved on , i guess they got tired of being in my space. :B - profdant139Explorer IIIt depends -- we have seen front kitchens on trailers like the R-Pod and the Chalet Takena that had very limited headroom due to the curvature of the roofline.
- downtheroadExplorerOur previous trailer (Komfort) had a front kitchen. We liked it a lot...Lots of counter space, a large pantry, and a nice window across the front.
- justaboutretireExplorerI would think that with the kitchen up front that the tongue weight would be higher, thus subtracting additional cargo weight of the tow vehicle. I would be checking the trailer specs to make sure the tow vehicle can support them. JMHO.
Bill - lots2seeinmyrvExplorerWe love ours. Lots of countertop space and cabinets.
- samsontdogExplorerI love the front kitchen in our TT. They are harder to find than rear or side
kitchens IMHO - TrackrigExplorer IIAt least in my Nash 26X TT, which is not a large TT, with it's front kitchen it has twice the counter space of similar sized TTs.
