front mounted reciever hitch

the bottom hitch is a curt and the top is a draw tite.curt didn't make a front mount for the '12 ram 2500 that bolts up high.another option is the warn transformer gen 2 setup. it enables winch,or just 2" reciever and mounts up high.also has light bar and grill guard if you want. all sold separately.its a nice setup if you only want one front mount.

When considering a winch mount for my F250, I decided to use the existing tow hook mounts on the front frame. No cutting of the fascia and makes for a very solid connection, the same could be use for a reciever hitch.

Yes. Bolts right on tow hooks...

bcbouy...You mentioned that you have a receiver bolted where the tow hook bolt on. Did you have that custom built of purchased?

Check the Bodiak hitch mentioned by BillyRay above. I believe that they have a hook mount hitch.

I went with ordering a new Bodiak hitch last summer. Very nice quality. And easy to install. Did not want to cut the fascia..

If you are planning on putting a bike rack in the front, I recommend the receiver be as low on the front of the truck as possible, it will go a long way in helping keep the bikes out of your line of sight while driving.

Thanks I ended up mounting in upper position and cutting hole thru fascia as I thought lower position to low

I randomly use mine for firewood but primary use is getting my boat out of its tight storage spot.

on my ram i had to cut a 2x2 out of my facia,and i cover it with a plain black hitch cover and you cant even see it.i like it low,its for carrying firewood,chainsaw,small genny and gas.i also have a second one mounted where the tow hooks bolt on for my winch cradle.the less we have to carry in the boat/camper the better.
