front mounted reciever hitch

I am going to install curt front mounted receiver on 2015 F 350 you can either mount it with receiver up or down with it down it is easier as do not have cut fascia but looks awful low how have you been mounting yours?

  • I found that the head lights became a bit of an issue on the new truck.. Headlights are lower on the 2008 vs the old 2004 I had..






    These are custom made and go next to the tie hooks.. They receive 2- 1 1/2" tubes.
  • I mounted mine low because I did not want to cut anything. Its OK in that position. The only time I have ever rubbed anything is if I pulled too far up to a high curb. Im aware of it now so I keep an eye out and stay back.
  • I have mine mounted down and haven't had a problem when using the hitch haul riser cargo carrier. I didn't want to mess things up by trying to cut a square hole through the fascia to get the receiver thru. If you don't get that hole cut just right then you'll have to enlarge it more to make it work and that can look kind of crappy if you're not careful.
  • Low works as you just flip your drop hitch so that it becomes a "rise hitch". That is how my front hitch is set up and have no issues.
  • I have mine through the fascia, don't think I'd want it any lower.
