When it comes to towing, a gasser is, well, a gasser and thus will have a thirst for fuel. With the 8 speed and your current TT being not too heavy, mpg should be better than previous gassers although I doubt on par with diesel mpg. Not towing, the tech behind the 6.2 should deliver impressive mpg for such a large powertrain. There are many variables that can change mpg from one trip to the next, although the one that we can control is how heavy our foot is. I use a Chevy HD gasser to tow our 9K# 32' TT and long ago stopped worrying about mpg since there is not much I can do other than slow down. Enjoy your new truck!!!
