I can only speak in generalities since you're not able to give specifics on a tow vehicle or TT.
All I will say is that IF you get a good match between tow vehicle and travel trailer as far as what the tow vehicle can safely handle, and then add in a quality WD/sway control system that is installed correctly, IMHO you will be JUST FINE.
Honestly, we tow a 35' Jayco Eagle that weighs in at around 9000 lbs. when fully loaded. We tow that with a 1 ton diesel truck and use an Equalizer Brand hitch....and when we are hitched up and towing down the highway it's like that TT isn't even back there...
So....just do your homework as it seems you obviously are intent on doing, take your time....ask questions...and look before you leap. I would also add that I would take anything a sales rep tells you with a huge grain of salt. There are a number of honest sales reps and dealers out there....but there are also a number of flatout shady liars who just wnat to sell you something, and that can be disastrous.
So just ask questions here if nothing else
