Get out and enjoy the RV shows in your area. Some sales people are very helpful while others will tell you what they think you want to hear.
We rv'd in an Airstream MH for many yearss s we traveled over 95,000 miles in that unit. The quality was above average and the service was outstanding.
When we decided to trade last fall, we looked at the product that would best suit the next segment of our journey (namely our retirement ) after so many miles traveled we decided that more room and more destination based Rving. In short we wanted the room that slides would allow. We ended up with a 3 slide unit. We have been at our destination site for a month now and I can't begin to tell you how the triple slide unit has satisfied our needs. The additional room is amazing.
I suggest you use the time between now and your upcoming retirement to really be honest with yourselves about what you think the experience will be for you.
One thing to keep in mind is that if the first few years you think you want to be on the move, you may want to look into a gently used MH a MH is the easiest
way to get somewhere and get set up quickly. A MH does work best if you tow a small car to explore with.
In the end we can give you ideas and help you dodge as many pitfalls as we can. It will be up to you to take the information and use it in a way that best fits your wants and needs. Best of luck to you and keep asking questions . There is much to learn hear and if you learn to use the search function as well you will become filled with good ideas and knowledge.
