First off, your truck is a Ram and not a Dodge. Secondly, the owners manual specifies oil change at 6 months or 15,000 miles - which ever occurs first. (Not 14,000 miles).
In order to keep any warranty questions at bay, one should follow the required oil change intervals even though it's ridiculous to drain perfectly good oil at 6 months with less than 15,000 miles.
