Hi billtex,
Have a look at the third post in this thread. It shows how I heat the basement area with dual window fans. Cost is a whole $50. It takes up 1 inch of otherwise unused floor space.
That is why I *can* heat 100% electrically. My oil heaters are 1/2 size and tucked away into otherwise wasted space.
Pay back where I live, from savings on propane, is under three weeks for what I did, and the propane furnace can be set to cut in should the power fail. It will also cut in if the electric heaters can't keep up.
Without the electric heat I'd be filling my fixed propane tank every four days.

Hi,
It would be a very long haul. It is an either or system, and for a 30 amp rv only does about 1900 watts. It is far cheaper to use an oil filled or other similar heater which can be used to assist the propane furnace if need be. I heat 100% electrically when there is adequate shore power.

Looks good...you know trailer life did an article on all electric heat adapter for RV's; all electric heat
Might help save some $ in the long haul.
I assume you have hookups?
Bill
Yeah...but you would still get heat to your basement...and you would have one less thing to take up floor space (oil heater).
If you already have an electric hookup, and you are full timing...I would think this makes sense?
Not sying this is for everyone...but for insp1505 it may be a good option...propane 'aint cheap!
