Furnace blower noise

I would think that with the age of the furnace, a bearing would not go bad that quick.
I believe that the furnaces us a single motor for both the air blower and the combustion air too. These are held in place by "allen" screws, and wondering if one screw got loose causing blower wheel to move and hit side of enclosure that caused noise.

I found out a lot about RV furnaces when a Mud Dabber got into the combustion blower section of the furnace, and the nest came loose and jammed up the blowers. On a cold morning I had to take the furnace out and disassemble it on the table to remove the nest.
Furnace had always vibrated a lot before I made repair, and after that it ran nice and smooth. The nest had been on the blower wheel before it came loose, which made it go off balance and caused the vibration.

WHAT BRAND HEATER?
USUALLY THE MOTOR NEEDS CHANGING.

There are videos that show how to change the motor but I cannot direct you to the right one because you have not provided needed information.

We have the trailer back in storage and the paperwork with all the info is in the trailer. We are camping next weekend so I could look then to see what brand. I just thought Keystone would use the same across the board.

they may use the same but I do not know off the top of my head what you have in your rig.
I am old and can just remember what I own

I have worked on many furnaces in my day and I have yet to see one with bearings you can lube. many have tried but they will not last very long. you have to replace the entire motor and they are not cheap believe me.

Motors use sleeved bushing..no bearings
Screeching noise:
could be worn bushing,
could be dirty wheel(s) throwing them out of balance,
could be loose blower wheel(s) (either room air and/or combustion wheel),
could even be a bad main burner assembly (can screech due to disrupted gas flow thru assembly)

Need to pull furnace and inspect

My experience with furnaces is that they are all NOISY, even if there is nothing wrong with them. The furnace coming on in the middle of the night has woken me up many times.

Our 2010 Keystone hideout does the exact same thing. It seems to happen at start up and as it's about to shut off. I stuck my fingers in the louvers and touched the cover and it went away. It seemed to have to do with the cover. Haven't really been using the heater much so not sure if it still happens. I think I tried tightening the four screws on the cover of the furnace. This is a terrible and annoying noise hope it helps!

Just one more example of our throw away society. I remember the days when you could still rebuild stuff and the parts did't cost you as much as the new product.

I had a $500 dishwasher and they want $400 for new racks. They had a $900 dishwaher on sale for $500. Gee what should I do.
