Furnace fan issues

My furnace fan suddenly started up and wouldn't shut off, even with the thermostat turned to off. I replaced the thermostat, and now the fan won't blow at all. Any ideas what the problem might be? This is an older Suburban furnace, but I'm not sure what the exact model is. The manual I have for it is for 5 different models - SF-20, SF-25, Sf-30, SF-35, and SF-42. Tomorrow, I'll pull the panel and see exactly which model it is, just thought I'd ask here first.

    Are you dealing with a digital thermostat? If so, check for the fan settings as it may be on a setting that keeps it on. I have a Dometic thermostat and it happened to me...just had to put the setting back to auto.
