Fully-appointed campers are a dime a dozen, relatively speaking. The basic ones are hard to find and the people who are selling them know it, because they went through the same process as you are now.
This is precisely why I "settled" for a camper with bells and whistles instead of what I wanted/needed. All I wanted was a bed and a hot water shower, but the price premium involved in getting it didn't make sense when I could get so much more for less, and have it now.
