Gas Below $2

Looks like gas is finally starting to sell below $2 a gallon in east TN and SC.

It's about time. Last time gas fell significantly below $2 (in this same area) was back around March when oil was selling in the low $50's. Oil was selling for $40.46 earlier today. It's been way below $50 for about a month (since mid-July).

  • I'd be happy to see gas below $3.00 a gallon. I guess I will have to leave the state to see it though.
  • Really! In the Chicago land area has went up .70 in a week. Went from 2.70 to 3.40! I think an oil exec had a couple kids going to college!

And yes gas prices have stayed at 3.39.

Don't worry. Winter is coming, the price will go up. :(

May I suggest that the above poster gets put in a time out for using the "W" word in August?:S

Interesting. In our part of Idaho, it is still $2.93!

We get so hosed on fuel prices out here. Just about everything else is better, though, so it's all good. :B

  • According to Gas Buddy, Wisconsin prices average 2.99, with the all US average at 2.95. Apparently there is a shortage due to a major refinery breakdown in Indiana. Hoosiers are now paying $2.96, a 59-cent increase since last week. Illinois is up 56 cents, Michigan is up 51 cents, Ohio is up 44 cents and Wisconsin is up 39 cents.
