Gas engine and Diesel of same specs.Pull the same.

By my sig, i pull with a 2002 8.1.....Its specs are roughly 340HP and 455 lb ft of torque. If a guy were to opt for a 2000-2002 Cummins, approx the same specs, does a Diesel pull any easier. Just a th...

I would think the torque would make up for any disadvantages that diesel engine would have over an equivalent gas engine. but if all things equal I don't see why it wouldn't be about the same, the gas having slight advantage because of the turbo spool. I don't know, if I had a choice, diesel every time. and im sure the fuel mileage will not be the same.
